I’m Roger, the photographer behind stills.by.roger

My photography is about observing the world as it is - the people, places and fleeting moments that make everyday life interesting. I love capturing the character of a street or a moment that tells a story without needing words.

Street and travel photography give me the opportunity to explore different places, cultures and ways of life. From busy streets and striking architecture to quieter encounters with the natural world, I’m always looking for something that catches my eye.

I don’t believe every photograph needs to be perfect. Sometimes imperfections are what makes an image interesting.

My approach is to capture moments as naturally as possible, using editing to enhance the photograph rather than transform it. I want my images to retain the atmosphere, character and authenticity of the moment in which they were taken.

  • Yes, I work with an industry-leading print partner who produce professional silver-based digital C-Type photographic prints. They use state-of-the-art equipment to achieve gallery-quality fine art prints using a deep rich tonal range that you can only achieve with a genuine professional photo print.

    My work is printed on C-Type Fuji Crystal archive paper with a semi-matt finish. The paper is coated with slightly stippled texture giving it a very natural photographic finish with subtle colour.

    Other paper options are available on request.

  • Yes, framed prints are available from the same professional printing partner. These have a small white border (starting at 1.5 cm) and the frame will add approximately 3.2 cm. For example, a square framed print (30x30 cm) will have actual printed dimensions (27x27 cm) and framed dimensions (33.2 × 33.2 cm). Although our printing partner has made every effort to be as accurate as possible, because some of the frames are handmade, their sizes, dimensions and measurements indicated on our site have a reasonable industry standard tolerance.

  • Prints are available in a variety of sizes and aspect ratios. Please note small white borders are applied on all prints as standard.

  • Our print partner ships within 48 hours of the order being received. Delivery times depend on your location but it should be within 1-2 days for print-only and 3-5 days for framed prints. Our print partner has production facilities in the UK, USA and Germany ensuring the quickest delivery times possible.

    Prints can be shipped globally, however, my online store currently supports orders from the UK and USA only. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss shipping to other countries.

  • Because each print is custom-made to order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for reasons such as:

    • Ordering the wrong size

    • Change of mind

    • Personal preference (e.g. colour tone, framing style etc.)

    We encourage you to carefully review the product details and sizing before placing your order. If you need help choosing, feel free to contact me.

  • We want your artwork to arrive in perfect condition. Our print partner will carefully cover your prints in recyclable tissue paper and use a robust cardboard envelope or tube. However, if your print is:

    • damaged in transit

    • incorrect (size or image)

    • has a printing defect

    Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery including your order number and a description of the issue. We will request more details (incl. photos of the damaged or defective print) and coordinate a replacement through our printing partner.

  • Stills are images - photographs that capture a moment in time, as opposed to moving images like film or video.

  • There is minimal editing to enhance the images and ensure they closely represent what I experienced.

  • A photographic print can be a wonderful addition to your own home or office.
